1. Installation / Replacement

   • Replacing the front cover usually involves disassembling the device: remove the back housing, then detach the LCD + touch assembly, and then refit the new front.

   • If replacing just the front cover (without replacing the screen), care must be taken not to damage the digitizer / LCD when removing / inserting.

   • Use the correct screws, clips, and (if any) adhesive to re-secure the front bezel.

   • After replacement, make sure the touch and display work correctly and that the USB / scan buttons align properly.

2. When to Replace

   • When the front bezel / frame is cracked or pushed in (e.g., due to a drop).

   • If the device’s plastic has worn or become brittle.

   • During refurbishment: replacing the front cover + screen can make the device look and function like new.
