| MODEL | LCD to mainboard flex cable (for High Resolution) for MC9000/MC9060/MC9090 series P/N:15-139320-01 |
Physical / Technical Characteristics
As a flex FPC cable, it is thin and flexible — meant to route through tight internal spaces inside the handheld.
The cable likely has fine-pitch contacts and multiple signal lines (video data, power, backlight) — typical for display flex in rugged devices.
According to Global‑Light’s parts catalog, this P/N is listed and the company makes a compatible replacement. Global Light
From the Global‑Light / OEM list: P/N 15‑139320-01 is directly referenced. Global Light
Use‑Case
Repair / Replacement: When the LCD display isn’t showing correctly (garbled image, no display, lines on screen), the flex cable could be damaged or broken — replacing this flex can restore proper display.
Refurbishment: Useful for refurbishing older MC9000-series units that have had display / flex wear over time.
Compatibility Validation: When replacing a screen or mainboard, ensure the correct flex type (high-resolution vs standard) is used, or else the display may not function properly.

Installation / Replacement
Replacing the front cover usually involves disassembling the device: remove the back housing, then detach the LCD + touch assembly, and then refit the new front.
If replacing just the front cover (without replacing the screen), care must be taken not to damage the digitizer / LCD when removing / inserting.
Use the correct screws, clips, and (if any) adhesive to re-secure the front bezel.
After replacement, make sure the touch and display work correctly and that the USB / scan buttons align properly.
When to Replace
When the front bezel / frame is cracked or pushed in (e.g., due to a drop).
If the device’s plastic has worn or become brittle.
During refurbishment: replacing the front cover + screen can make the device look and function like new.
