The trigger assembly is the plastic + mechanical part you press to initiate a scan.

Installation Notes

• Very delicate: while replacing, avoid sharp folds or creases in the flex.

• Use proper tools (plastic spudgers) to unplug / plug the flex into its connectors to avoid damaging the ZIF / FPC connector.

• After installation, test scanning thoroughly to make sure the new flex works — check for consistent scan response.

• Ensure the flex is routed reliably inside the device so it does not pinch or interfere with other parts.

Quality / Parts Risk

• Use a good-quality / OEM or compatible flex: cheap / low-quality FPCs may not maintain signal reliability, which can lead to scan issues.

• Check vendor reviews before buying the flex (especially for SE1524, because alignment and flex quality is critical for scan performance).

Installation Notes

• Requires opening the device’s top / scan-head section to access the connector.

• Be careful when handling the flex: avoid sharp bends; flex cables are delicate.

• When inserting into connectors, align the flex carefully so all contacts line up correctly.

• After installation, test the scanner thoroughly (trigger + scanning) to ensure proper functionality.

Quality Considerations

• Use a good-quality flex cable (OEM or high-grade compatible) — poor-quality FPCs can lead to scan errors or signal loss.
